“ The title Homestyle Cafe fits them perfectly! There is an initial feeling you are going to Grandma's for a meal as the setting is welcoming to all. Sunday late mornings are a busy time but we were seated quickly after waiting for about 10 minutes. The waitstaff is prompt, courteous, great humor, quick wit & attentive to our every need plus making recommendations that proved to be perfect for our taste buds. This facility is clean, well staffed, & friendly to all ages, family styles & no one goes hungry afterwards. Portions most generous, picture perfect to challenge some of the finer restaurants & most reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Our family of 4 adults each had a different breakfast item & before we knew it, we were sneaking a sample from each others plates to see if their food was equal to ours. Besides the quality of food, received perfect temperature & again beautifully put on each plate, the waitstaff was over the moon in prompt service, keeping coffee & water containers always filled, & gave one a feeling they were very welcome there. ”

“ Dean's Cafe is located in a very old bungalow along a busy highway. Inside, it's simple, but comfortable. If you're looking for cutting edge interior design, or cutting edge food for that matter, drive on by; this is not your kind of place. It's EXACTLY as the name implies; a place for good, well prepared American breakfasts and lunches at extremely affordable prices. We got there at 10:30 on a weekday morning, and the place was bustling. That's normally a good sign, and it was. Lots of satisfied customers filled the booths and their stomachs in the cozy environment. The over easy eggs I ordered were indeed cooked over easy. I requested my hash browns be cooked very crispy, and they were delivered hot and crispy. The sausage links were the best I've had in some time, and the rye bread toast was very good. The portions are more than generous; the couple that joined us needed doggie bags for their omelette and chicken-fried steak. We ordered smaller portions, but smaller by much. The coffee was decent too. Our server was no nonsense, but in a nice way. She got our orders right, and quickly. She fit right in. Dean's is a no nonsense kind of a place with food that exceeded our expectations for preparation and price. ”

“ On the outside it is a house. Inside, there is not very much seating so if it's busy you might have to wait a while for a table. The waitresses are old school and super sweet and know excellent customer service. The food is amazing, like an old school from scratch diner. The only thing that I could complain about is the wait for seating, other than that it was a perfect experience and I will be going back! ”

“ You know how good a place is by the length of the wait and I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. A cute old house from the early 1900s, the place has charm, good service, and delicious food at very reasonable prices. The servers have obviously been here a long time, so things flowed smoothly in my quest for some good chow. Mine was quick, friendy, and attentive, keeping my coffee topped-off whenever she came by. I had the Homestyle Breakfast ($13) with two eggs, hash browns, three slices of bacon, and a biscuit and gravy. There was so much food, I had to take half home and it was delish. The price was 2/3 the cost of similar breakfasts elsewhere where you are lucky to pay less than $20, making Dean's a definite TravelValue ... HOOAH! The only negative was me showing-up with not much cash and the sign on the front stated ¨We don't take debit/credit cards¨, so I had to run to an ATM down the street. “ Cool charm - I love the 50s era vibe. Waitresses are sweet and even sassy - adds to the character. But about the breakfast: it was stellar. Bacon is crisp and meaty, scrambled eggs have that whipped texture, hash browns are decadent and crunchy (like god intended). The side dish of biscuits and gravy rank among the best I had, and the buttermilk pancakes are light and sweet. Home run for breakfast- I hope this place never changes. ”
